About the Conference
The Tulane Entertainment & Sports Law Conference is the premier meeting for entertainment and sports lawyers, professionals, and students to discuss the latest and most pressing issues in those industries. We’ve been proud to host a huge variety of high-profile speakers over the years, including:
- executives and lawyers from within the NFL, NBA, MLB, and more;
- creative talent including Jonathan Banks (star of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul) and Anthony Zuiker (creator of the CSI franchise);
- top lawyers from major national sports practices like Winston & Strawn and Holland & Knight;
- executives from major studios like Amazon, ESPN, HBO, Netflix, Sony, and SiriusXM;
- and speakers who have represented or worked with artists such as Alicia Keys, Jason Sudeikis, Jordan Peele, Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Bob Dylan; and more.
The Conference is led annually by our Organizing Committee: Kevin Yorn (L ’90), founding partner of the Yorn Levine Entertainment Law Firm; Jeff Frost (L ’89), President of Bristol Circle Entertainment; Tim Francis (L ’84), counsel, Sher Garner law firm; and Professor Gabe Feldman, Director of the Tulane Sports Law Program, Sher Garner Professor of Sports Law, and Co-Founder of the Tulane Center for Sport.
Free of charge– The 2024 Conference, its 7th Annual edition, will be held on April 5 & 6, 2024 at Tulane Law School- John Giffen Weinmann Hall, located on Tulane’s beautiful uptown campus in the heart of Uptown New Orleans. The 2024 Conference is free of charge.
Food and entertainment: The events of Friday, April 5 include local food and entertainment throughout the day: breakfast, lunch with a keynote speaker, and a networking reception featuring live music! The program on Saturday, April 6 will also include breakfast, a keynote, and lunch.
